Postcard One

In the cedar box not only lives the delicious smell of cedar, but a number of postcards that I have collected over the years. Each postcard brings a certain response. I shall share with you a postcard every now and again and the response it brought forth.

Stanley Park, Vancouver 1992

to be lost in

Stanley Park

is always to
find a new
beginning
the call of the bird
the smell of the kelpy ocean
the lap of the waves
the  green of the conifers
the yellow mountain of sulphur across the water
the stickiness of the air
the taste of salt
Thank-you
Stanley Park
I needed that.
